This is certainly a statement piece which could be styled to create a gothic, enchanted, natural or fantasy element to a room.

A solid, heavy piece of furniture with seven drawers all decoupaged inside with a rust effect paper.

The legs start at a deep navy blue which blends through to a dark indigo blue, and up to pale moonlight. The top of the piece has a

rich blue blend to light surrounding a large half moon. The dark tree shadows are also in navy blue with pale blue highlights.

Inspiration for this piece has come from an ancient oak woodland in Derbyshire. This local Nature Reserve has stunning twisted trees that I have taken great pleasure in studying and photographing whilst on my dog walks.

Drawer external size - Front 10.5 cm, depth 7.5 cm, length 29.5 cm, width 33.5cm

Drawer internal size - Depth 5.5 cm, length 26.5 cm, width 30.5cm

This is a hand painted vintage piece with some visible signs of wear. These drawers have taken a knock at some point in their previous life which has resulted in a small crack running horizontal next to the 3rd drawer shown in photo 7. Effects of this issue can also be seen on the opposite side in photo 8 where the drawers are slightly bowed with a crack. Please check the pictures carefully to see this issue and other minor signs of wear. These issues have been taken in to account when pricing this item.

Products used: Indonesian Mahogany chest, wood filler, Boss primer, Dixie Belle Chalk mineral paint, flat top coat, Decopatch Rust paper, Paperpatch varnish glue.
