Eleanor has been updated with two coats of undercoat, Gatsby inspired wallpaper decoupage applied to the back panel and the interior of the door, gold leaf applied to the cupboard shelf, the glass doors have be replaced with re-sized vintage glass, two coats of gloss black paint to the body with two coats of varnish for protection
Please bear in mind that this is a vintage piece that has had a previous long life, so you may find some signs of her previous life, but they detract from the beauty of the finished item.

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.
I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
