Edwardian Large Inlaid Mahogany Chest Of Drawers

A substantial and impressively tall chest of drawers, offering excellent storage and plenty of character. The chest is fitted with six drawers, all running well, though some have areas of trim missing around the edges.

The top shows light marks and some signs of cracking, consistent with age, but remains sound. The sides display evidence of historic worm, now inactive, and the back has been replaced. The back legs are missing their outer mouldings, and the front right leg has lost its side piece.

The chest has a wonderful patina, but does have stains and blemishes here and there which add to its overall character.

Despite these age-related imperfections, the chest is solid and stable, with a warm, timeworn finish that gives it a great deal of charm.

A handsome, tall antique chest, full of presence and character, ideal for those who appreciate authentic period furniture with a rustic appeal.
