This French Style vintage dressing table has been re finished using Annie Sloan chalk paint in Duck Egg Blue and Mint by Michelle decoupage paper. It has been teamed with a small Victorian Oak Toilet Mirror that has been re finished using the same colour paint and a touch of gold gilding wax.

PRE LOVED FURNITURE:

This is a vintage piece which may come with signs of its previous life, in the form of background repairs, or may have a slight scuff here and there. This in no way hinders the purpose of this piece nor does it detract from the eye, it only adds to its character.

This item has been painted with chalk paint which is a water based product. It contains minimal levels of VOC in comparison to solvent based products, and is a more eco friendly paint choice for upcycling furniture. It has been sealed with a clear wax and that gives a high durability. However, we advise to take care and use coasters, when dusting use a damp lint-free cloth and re-wax once to twice a year. Any harsh chemicals should be avoided

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I am very pleased with the look and quality of the sideboard and enclose a photo of it in-situ in our hallway. It fits perfectly. Thank you for the extreme thoroughness of the packing (it must have taken ages, as it took me a long time to unpack) and it arrived intact. Just one little blip, the tape caught a tiny bit of paint on the bottom edge which came away, but I have been able to touch this in, so no problem with the overall look.
I also added some sensor lights inside to help identify the contents as the interior was dark. They work a treat".

Very happy with item

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.

Item is nice but experience wasn't great

I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
