The beauty of buying preloved items not only means you are doing good for the planet by significantly reducing your carbon footprint but it also means you get to transform your space with a one of a kind piece of furniture.

I came across this gorgeous solid pine 2 over 3 chest of drawers from a lovely lady who lived only a short 5 minute drive from me. Her home was so close to the beach that I decided to have my lunch in the warmth of the car and admire the view from there as it was far too cold and blustery to get out!

Once home and after a cup of tea! I gave it a thorough clean inside and out, stripped off the cheap paint, and sanded it down. I then hand-painted it in two coats of this stunning shade of dusty pink called Wild Maid from the Cornish Milk Company. This paint is made from UK-sourced, non-toxic, and eco-friendly ingredients. I then mixed up a 50/50 solution of the paint with Littlefair's Extra Stong Satin Water-Based Varnish and gave it another two coats for extra durability. Littlefair's is another eco-friendly product being water based it has less impact on the environment than more traditional varnishes.

I swapped out the handles for traditional ones and here we are a solid gorgeous chest of drawers that will be a focal point in anyone's room!

As this is a preloved piece it will show signs of aging, don't we all? However, it is a solid and sturdy piece of furniture that will last you and your family for many years to come.

Beautiful Gustav Klimt inspired Chest of Drawers

Fabulous piece of bestpoke bedroom furniture to add to my special collection. The Kiss mural design by Klimt is an iconic statement piece and I adore it. Excellent communication and customer service by the team and great fast courier service. Packaged and handled with great care. 5stars.

Chest of Drawers

I was very impressed with the quality of the service from Upcite. The communication by the artist Alex has been excellent and the delivery by the courier 5 stars service. The chest of drawers with mural design is a statement piece in my bedroom and I adore it. Klimt is my favourite artist and I am now interested in more similar pieces to add to the collection.

Bedside Cabinets

Yes, we received the cabinets on Monday and we are very pleased with them; they even look better than the photo. We also had a chair delivered via Upcite last Friday of which we were equally pleased with. We have one more unit on order which we are very much looking forward to seeing. I’ll send you photos as soon as I can, but our house is a mess at the moment as it’s being decorated.

I highly recommend this shop and the products that they sell. I am a huge fan of small business owners selling high-quality hand-made crafts and Upcite was exactly what I was then looking for. The lovely coasters that Kerry, the designer and the seller, created were very beautiful and just what I needed and she made a special arrangement for my request that I needed two sets of the coasters at the same time even though there was only one set in stock. Both the Upcite manager and Kerry responded very quickly when I made a mistake in giving the wrong postal address and I really appreciated for their quick response. The coasters are a special gift for a special person whose office has been recently renewed. He was so pleased when he received the lovely hand-made coasters and we had a lovely time together in his new office over a cup of tea. All in all, it has been a very pleasant and special shopping experience and I will definitely shop again in the near future!
