Of honest artisan construction, it incorporates the classic lines of the late Georgian Period with Marlborough style legs, two curved dovetail drawers and its original brass pull handle embodies a well used much loved piece of painted English furniture.
It is hand painted in deep Burgundy red colour, rich and confident a Baroque-inspired shade that will leave you mesmerised by its enduring character. The details highlighted in gold along with the square tapering legs with gold shoes and finished off with satin varnish for protection.
This elegant writing desk would be most agreeable to many interior schemes and is a perfect size without dominating the whole room but its is certainly beautiful enough to do so.
It stands 77cm high, 100cm wide and 43cm deep and from the floor to the bottom of the drawers where one would sit is 62cm high.
It can be used as a writing desk (please contact me if you need it for a writing desk), a hall table, console table or a dressing table.

This is the second time we've bought off Upcite and will always return. This time around, we bought a Victorian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers (£429 including P&P) from Timeless Furniture LTD UK. We contacted Timeless Furniture (Wrexham) through the messages section and they (Dave) were super helpful in confirming P&P will be covered their end but also went out of their way to coat the chest of drawers with another round of woodworm treatment, which was much appreciated. The drawers had been treated before but Dave offered to do it again to allay our concerns. So, once they confirmed this we punched it. An absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind vintage cabinet, lovingly restored by Julie and Mark, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail really shine through. The delivery process, unfortunately, didn’t go to plan, with damage caused by the courier, but both Cole at Upcite and Julie and Mark were incredibly supportive throughout.
