The Beautility name is synonymous with craftmanship and style, and this magnificent walnut veneer piece, from the 1950’s, has both, in abundance.

With 2 generous cupboards and 2 drawers, there is ample room for bottles, glassware and all your cocktail and drinks essentials.

The central, drop-down front provides a stable tabletop for drink preparation, has a glass shelf and additional storage, and a working light that completes the look.

So far it’s the perfect drinks cabinet in terms of practicality, but what makes this cabinet stand out from the crowd is the truly stunning, and sympathetic restyle it’s been given.

Let’s start with the intricate made to measure bespoke onlays. They are hand made echoing the pattern of the art deco paper which lines the inside perfectly. They are delicate, elegant and completely unique to this piece, giving it yet another WOW factor.

Moving on to the interior. Both the cupboards and the drawers have been lined with an art deco fan design paper in golds, teal and emerald greens, which gives the piece a really authentic look and feel.

The front of the piece has been finished with a combination of a matte paint in blue, and a luxurious varnish to bring out the darker tones of the veneer.

And finally, happily, all the handles, the glass shelf and the mirror are original to the piece.

All is well with the cabinet and looks great. It's in storage for a while, the room is not ready as the house is under renovation but will be perfect and I think will be much-loved. Bringing a house and furniture to life is a rewarding combination.
