Antique late Victorian Carved Oak bureau bookcase having profuse carvings to the cupboard doors and fall front, with a decorative moulded crown, all furnished with decorative solid brass handles and resting on bracketed feet!
The bookcase has three adjustable shelves and the fall front is fully fitted which includes two secret drawers and a carved central small door.
The pull outs that suspend the fall front are in good order - although the left hand side handle is missing leaving just a little nub to open. We have left as is to maintain its integrity.
The tip of the wing to the right hand side of the crown is also missing. Despite these two small Issues it remains a fabulous piece!
The base drawers are all graduated. It affords great storage, solid and sturdy along with being in beautiful condition.
It came from a very grand home as I’m sure you can tell!
The piece splits into two for ease of movement and transport purposes.

Please do mention beforehand if it is upstairs or if there is a lift etc please expect to provide some assistance as some of our items can be very heavy or awkward to manoeuvre.
The courier service is usually a 2 man team, and is booked as ground floor delivery unless stated otherwise (lift/assistance provided etc),

This is the second time we've bought off Upcite and will always return. This time around, we bought a Victorian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers (£429 including P&P) from Timeless Furniture LTD UK. We contacted Timeless Furniture (Wrexham) through the messages section and they (Dave) were super helpful in confirming P&P will be covered their end but also went out of their way to coat the chest of drawers with another round of woodworm treatment, which was much appreciated. The drawers had been treated before but Dave offered to do it again to allay our concerns. So, once they confirmed this we punched it. The nest of tables are very tastefully done, they are the final piece of furniture in our living room and we're very happy with them. Comms with J&M were great and the tables were packaged very well so arrived in perfect condition. We will definitely buy from UpCite and J&M again when we next need a beautiful piece of furniture.
