Large Pine Credenza sideboard from Spain with Arched Doors and Decorative Nail heads
Has been sympathetically restored with a limed whitewash finish and bronze detailing to the hardware. 
When discussing French furniture, a buffet with more than two doors is called an enfilade. In other countries, they are sometimes referred to as credenzas. Regardless of the culture, these very wide cabinets are typically low to the ground, resting on shallow feet. This is true of our Spanish credenza with arched doors and decorative nail heads, hand-carved in the 1940’s. The pine wood (probably maritime pine, which is found in Mediterranean climates) 
Each of the doors has been hand-carved with a lozenge-patterned background, with each diamond possessing a central iron floret. A pair of iron straps with scrolled tips and hinge plates are affixed to each of the arched doors. The screws that attach the iron to the wood have been encircled by textured iron protuberances. A full-length shelf can be found behind the doors, which shut securely by rotating the wooden turn latches that are embellished with iron florets.
Above each door is a small drawer, accessed by iron pulls attached to iron mounts. Centered in between the doors and drawers are two large, pierced iron escutcheons.  
Our Spanish buffet is a handsome storage cabinet that can work with most interior design styles. It can be paired in the dining room with a rustic farm table or used in the kitchen as a supplement to a pantry.

All is well with the cabinet and looks great. It's in storage for a while, the room is not ready as the house is under renovation but will be perfect and I think will be much-loved. Bringing a house and furniture to life is a rewarding combination.
