This beautiful mahogany Edwardian Pembroke table is a compact and versatile table. The table top has been stripped, stained and varnished with a high gloss finish. The legs and base have been dark waxed and polished, and the drawer has been treated with a nourishing wood balm that leaves a gentle citrus scent, reviving and restoring the wood's beauty.
As is typically featured, this Pembroke table has a rectangular top with drop leaves on either side, which can be raised or lowered to adjust the table's size. It has a single full depth drawer beneath the tabletop for additional storage and is supported by four slender reeded legs with original casters for easy mobility.
Originally designed for use in the drawing room or parlor, Pembroke tables were often used for tea service, light meals, writing, or other small tasks. Their compact size and elegant design make them a practical and stylish addition to various interior settings even today.

N.B. There are some minor signs of historic woodworm, but the piece has been fully treated. This piece does show some signs of age, and a few holes on the top have been filled (see photos) but these do not detract from its beauty.
