My client was looking for a bedroom set to include a large chest of drawers and wardrobe. The design wish list included: warm colours, dragons, tigers, florals and a touch of steampunk. To achieve the look I used 2 separate images which I specifically sourced and had printed on quality, durable decoupage papers to add to the piece. Other embellishments include specialist floral furniture transfers, real metal cogs, wooden cogs, furniture moulds to create a carved look, gold leaf, stencils and giding wax. All the products I use are low VOC.
I also completed a matching wardrobe (separate listing) and the overall idea behind both was "Fire and Ice" represented in the dark dragon on the wardrobe and the white dragon on the drawers. I carried the fire element across from the wardrobe to stairs across the drawers as the pieces will sit side by side in my client's room.
