This MCM bookcase / cabinet has been carefully refurbished to give it a slightly more modern look, but keeping all original features.

It's been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. The old dull mahogany varnish has been removed and sanded back to the original light wood and the darker veneer. The inside has been painted with mineral paint in a shade called "Kerfuffle" and the back covered in a lovely paper depicting elephants which compliments the paint colour beautifully. The ridged wood feature near the bottom has also been painted and varnished.

All other areas have been given two coats of wax for protection and to bring out the gorgeous grain of the wood/veneer.

Two lots of sliding doors. The top ones are glass and the bottom ones wood veneer. The glass is in perfect condition and the round insert handles on the bottom doors have been removed, cleaned an resprayed gold.

A lovely piece of furniture. Perfect for any home.
