These Meredew chest of drawers have been transformed into a real statement piece for the modern home.
The main body has been painted in Fusion Oakham. The drawer fronts have been decoupaged with a retro geometrical paper by Kelly Hoppen. Several coats of Polyvine Flatt Matt varnish ensure the surface is durable. Brass hexagonal handles complete the geometrical vibe. The legs and drawer edges have been finished in complementary gold.
A coat of Fusion beeswax and Howards Feed and wax to the inside of the drawers finish this stunning piece.

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.
I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
