This mahogany, antique card table has a rotating top and hidden storage space for all those family card games. The top has a mermaid/ocean theme, which been carried through to the lower shelf with its net surface. The leg carvings have been highlighted with gold paint.
The design is a combination of decoupage, gold wax, stencilling, original artwork and bespoke blue chalk paint. All surfaces have been protected by a satin varnish.
Most of my pieces are rescued from landfill and whilst I clean, repair and prep all pieces before upcycling, some signs of ageing and wear and tear cannot be fixed - I like to think these imperfections add to the character of the pieces.
