When this gorgeous mid century sideboard came to me it’s was tired and worn out, with some time and love it’s been transformed and is ready to take centre place in your home.
The main body has been sanded back and then redressed in Ash a gorgeous dark charcoal grey, the doors and drawers have been decoupage with a modern weathered concrete effect paper with mottled look and hints of green, blue and even ochre.
Open the left door to uncover a shelved cupboard, 3 good sized drawers take up the middle section and then open the right drop down to reveal a newly mirrored drinks cabinet complete with a gold back to really get the party started!

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
