Vintage Charm: Bring some calm and glamour into your life with these gorgeous upcycled Stag bedside tables, just perfect for your home.

This charming pair of bedsides are from the ever-popular Stag Minstrel Range, synonymous with quality and craftsmanship. The Minstrel range was first introduced in 1964 as a result of a collaboration between Stag and designers John and Sylvia Reid. It was as popular then as it is today making it possibly one of the best-selling bedroom furniture ranges of all time.

Made from the rich and exotic Makore or African Cherry in a combination of both solid wood and veneered facades, these practical and elegant pieces were craftsman-made and certainly built to last. These bedside tables, known affectionately as ‘Leggy” (but I much prefer “slender” or “elegant”), are today highly desirable. They are not only practical and sustainable but they ooze sophistication and those much-loved mid-century vibes.

I chose a rich teal blue for these bedside tables, giving them a serene modern touch. The tops and drawers feature a circular-themed geometric pattern stencilled in liquid gold leaf, adding a touch of luxury while honouring the era of the piece. The original round hardware, painted in gold, ties the design together seamlessly.

This neutral colour palette works with so many colour schemes and will add a sense of calm, elegance and well-being to your restful sanctuary. Each table measures 44 cm wide, 31.5 cm deep, and 57.5 cm high, making them the perfect addition to your bedroom.

Inside, each table drawer reveals a delightful surprise – painted and decoupaged with a complementary paper featuring floral blooms, it's these little details that truly elevate these pieces. Just imagine them placed on either side of your bed, with a lovely lamp, casting a soft light. The bed, dressed with a sumptuous duvet, lots of pillows, and perhaps a throw in a colour echoing that beautiful decoupage paper.

However you style them, it’s clear these bedside tables are more than just furniture; they are a testament to functionality, sustainable living, and the joy of upcycling.

Timeless Furniture LTD UK (Wrexham) - thank you! Highly recommended.

This is the second time we've bought off Upcite and will always return. This time around, we bought a Victorian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers (£429 including P&P) from Timeless Furniture LTD UK. We contacted Timeless Furniture (Wrexham) through the messages section and they (Dave) were super helpful in confirming P&P will be covered their end but also went out of their way to coat the chest of drawers with another round of woodworm treatment, which was much appreciated. The drawers had been treated before but Dave offered to do it again to allay our concerns. So, once they confirmed this we punched it. The drawers then arrived via courier about a week later and packed very well, arriving in one piece and no damage. Highly recommend Upcite and Timeless Furniture LTD UK. Pete

Nest of tables

The nest of tables are very tastefully done, they are the final piece of furniture in our living room and we're very happy with them. Comms with J&M were great and the tables were packaged very well so arrived in perfect condition. We will definitely buy from UpCite and J&M again when we next need a beautiful piece of furniture. Happy with my cabinet

An absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind vintage cabinet, lovingly restored by Julie and Mark, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail really shine through. The delivery process, unfortunately, didn’t go to plan, with damage caused by the courier, but both Cole at Upcite and Julie and Mark were incredibly supportive throughout. They pushed to have the piece properly repaired and kept me updated the whole way. Thanks to their persistence and care, the cabinet looks just as gorgeous in my home as I’d hoped.
