Isn't she cute? Even if I say so myself! She's a classic example of not overlooking the sad, brown, unloved furniture of yesteryear and what a little love and attention can do. First, I gave her a good old clean. It is surprising how much dirt accumulates on furniture over the years. After all, we only ever give furniture a dust and a light wipe down, don't we? Then I removed the ugly brown varnish to hopefully reveal beautiful wood grain, but alas that was not what happened! So instead I gave her a sand and then went on a search for the perfect paper to decoupage and with a lick of paint and a lot of sealing she is ready to go back into the world. 

She is a vintage classic and that comes with a little bit of wear that is only part of the charm and certainly nothing noticeable. To clean all she needs is a light dusting and occasionally a wipe with a damp cloth. No harsh chemicals please, she's a sensitive girl! As she's decoupaged I would recommend using coasters or placemats if you plan on putting any vases or toiletries on top.
