This very cute utility chest has recently been given a full makeover to give it a new lease of life, one that will last for many years to come. The legs and frame have been given a coat of paint using Fusion Mineral Paint Bayberry whilst the drawers and top have been whitewashed to allow the beautiful grain to shine through. The sides have been glammed up with a beautiful parakeet découpage, finished with a detailed wood trim. All finished with a top coat for extra durability. A new set of stunning pearl drop handles, along with a leaf print design drawer liner and a scented salve on the interior of the drawers and this piece is ready to find it’s new home.
The drawers are deep and generous in size, making it a great storage unit. Please appreciate that this item is of a good age, therefore does come with lumps and bumps. "I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
