Reproduction Mahogany Continental Serpentine Fronted Display Cabinet
A grand and elegant reproduction mahogany display cabinet in the Continental style, featuring a distinctive serpentine front and a rich, warm polished finish that highlights the beauty of the wood.
The upper section is crowned with decorative mouldings and fitted with three glazed serpentine doors, each with a working lock and key. Inside are two fixed display shelves, ideal for showcasing fine china, glassware, or collectibles.
Below the glazed section are three drawer fronts — the central drawer is functional, while the outer two are decorative dummy drawers for symmetry. Beneath this sits a triple-door cupboard, each panelled and inlaid with beautiful floral marquetry designs, echoing the detailing on the drawer fronts. Each cupboard compartment includes a fixed internal shelf, and all doors come with keys.
This is a solid and sturdy piece, built with both form and function in mind. It conveniently splits into two sections for easier transport and installation.
There are some light cosmetic marks consistent with use, and one more engrained scratch near the glass door - see photograph - but overall this is a highly polished, impressive piece that offers excellent storage and display potential.

This is the second time we've bought off Upcite and will always return. This time around, we bought a Victorian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers (£429 including P&P) from Timeless Furniture LTD UK. We contacted Timeless Furniture (Wrexham) through the messages section and they (Dave) were super helpful in confirming P&P will be covered their end but also went out of their way to coat the chest of drawers with another round of woodworm treatment, which was much appreciated. The drawers had been treated before but Dave offered to do it again to allay our concerns. So, once they confirmed this we punched it. The nest of tables are very tastefully done, they are the final piece of furniture in our living room and we're very happy with them. An absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind vintage cabinet, lovingly restored by Julie and Mark, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail really shine through. The delivery process, unfortunately, didn’t go to plan, with damage caused by the courier, but both Cole at Upcite and Julie and Mark were incredibly supportive throughout.
