A classic cabinet with two drawers and cupboard space below. Internally there is one full width shelf. 

The original Yew veneered finish was looking dated so I decided to transform the piece with a radical all over design using a Moroccan tile  inspired stencil. I wanted to achieve an aged patina to give the piece some character. 

To begin, I cleaned, scuff sanded and primed with an adhesion primer by Dixie Belle called Slick Stick. Next I used a chalk paint by Dixie Belle in the shade, French Linen. Once dry I added some texture with a variety of techniques and coordinating shades before I began to apply the stencil design using a black shade by Shabby Chic called Liquorice. Next, I added some rust effects using Autentico rust powder to add further character and age including the hardware. To finish, the piece was sealed with two coats of Polyvine Satin varnish.
