Small Vintage Washstand or Free Standing Kitchen Unit

Believed to be Edwardian. We recovered this once loved gem from the tip, where it was looking very sorry for its self. We cleaned the cobwebs from it & worked our special Shed on the Left magic & are very happy with the result. 

To give the piece a contemporary look we applied Delamere (green) Frenchic Mineral Furniture paint to the body of the unit. While the top, shelf and panels were finished using a dark furniture wax.

We have kept the original character of the unit by distressing back certain areas to give that aged look for authenticity.

Finally a clear wax was used on the painted areas for additional durability.

The draw handles and door mechanism (fully working) are original and have been brought to life using metallic gold paint.

This lovely piece can also easily be used in a kitchen as a fabulous free standing unit.
