Stag solid TallBoy consists of 6 drawers, 4 deep/2 shallow drawers.
- Cleaned throughout with sugar soap including drawers
- restored drawers and legs
- sanding
- 2 Coates-primed with shellac stops stains
- painted all round in polar flat Matt (white)
- 3 top drawers painted in Calgary flat Matt (cream)
- 3 bottom drawers painted in Denali flat Matt (pastel grey)
- front left & front bottom right painted in pretty blue/pink flowers. This is what makes this piece a unique piece of furniture.
- Final coat, tough flawless lacquer Matt applied as top coat to prevent scratches, scuffs, heat damage from hot cups, waterproof.
- handles were replaced with modern white knobs with a gold rim around.
- All 6 drawers are lined with pretty blue flowers on lining paper

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
