This scene from Star Wars Episode 5 – A New Hope, shows Luke Skywalker looking out at the binary sunset on Tatooine.

I admit I used a bit of creative license adding R2D2 in to the scene but I couldn’t resist as R2 is my favourite.
It is painted in chalk paint blending yellows, oranges, pinks and purples through to blue with tiny stars added to the top surface.  
Inside the Star Wars theme continues with all the drawers painted silver with gold and coppers to give an aged metal patina.
I hand drew the silhouettes and painted them in a very dark grey as this gives a softer finish than black.
The chalk paint outside is finished with two coats of flat matte topcoat and the metallic inside has two topcoats of gloss.
Please be aware, as with all recycled items, there may be some minimal imperfections. This is part of the life this piece had before finding a new home and is embraced in the upcycling process.
