This 1930s suitcase has been cleaned, repaired and enhanced with quirky steampunk owls decoupage, original artwork and new metal scroll legs, to produce a beautiful and practical coffee table/storage unit.
4 Steampunk owls adorn the top, while the interior boasts a vibrant sunflower print. All surfaces have been protected with a satin varnish.
Original features include metal locks and hinges, wooden protection straps and a distressed luggage label from Edinburgh Waverley.
Most of my pieces are rescued from landfill and whilst I clean, repair and prep all pieces before upcycling, some signs of ageing and wear and tear cannot be fixed - I like to think these imperfections add to the character of the pieces.
