A striking, small two door cabinet with one drawer and one internal shelf. It’s compact size makes it useful for any space. The interior is roomy enough to store bottles of spirits and glassware and makes a neat little drinks cabinet. 
The original finish of this piece was a dated Yew lacquer which was in my opinion in need of a face lift. To begin, I thoroughly cleaned the cabinet with sugar soap and warm soapy water. I rinsed it down with clear water and scuff sanded all areas to be painted. Next, as the surface was lacquered, I applied an adhesion primer by Dixie Belle called Slick Stick. For the interior, I chose an antique rose shade by Fusion Mineral Paint called Echanted Echinacea. I applied three coats and sealed with Polyvine matte varnish. For the exterior, I chose a dark sage green by Fusion Mineral Paint called Everett as the shade for the main body and base colour. Once fully dried, I used masking tape to create the wide stripes across the top and front of the cabinet. I applied two coats of Dixie Belle Silk Paint in the shade Sandcastle to the non masked areas and removed the tape. The exterior was also then sealed with two coats of Polyvine matte varnish to protect. To finish, I hung an antique rose coloured key tassel to coordinate with the interior shade.

My new table arrived from PinkDotUpcycling at Upcite and omg I'm in love! I so miss being able to do this kind of thing myself, but cannot fault the work done to bring this table back to life and just look how stunning my kraken's bride is!! . Off to follow the FB groups now to see what other unique pretties I can find! Technically a lamp table, but us three being shorties means it will work just fine for crafting, science experiments etc. . . Only opened up to protect the artwork and a table cloth!.
