Hi,

This is a large storage trunk style coffee table with two deep drawers, hand painted in a warm navy chalk paint with copper leaf edging and copper handles.

Method.

Thorough cleaning and replacement of one castor, all now working perfectly and the table rolls smoothly along the ground when needed.

Sanded before paint.

Main body, painted in several coats of hand mixed warm navy blue, and a light sanding applied all over followed by a clear wax and buff to a medium shine. Videos available of the process if required.

Drawers treated in the same way with navy applied to the drawer sides which are visible when pulled out. Original handles removed and treated with copper after cleaning, then reinstated on drawer fronts. Please note - these drawer fronts give the impression of being four drawers but there are in fact two. This is part of the original design.

The copper leaf has also been given a light distress before being waxed for protection.

This is a very smart colour combination given to a great solid piece of furniture which needed a surface colour change.

If you need before and after images or videos please get in touch. Its a heavy object but once in place you can use the rollers beneath to move it around.

This is a fully refurbished item, looking much better than before and very attractive with a hand painted lightly distressed and waxed finish. All visible areas are as they should be but there is one drawer interior, not visible until it is opened, which has a green ink stain, which proved to be permanent, possibly a leaking pen or felt tip has been left in the drawer. This can be covered using a paper drawer liner if required and is not visible at all from the outside.Thank you for viewing my work - it is much appreciated!

All is well with the cabinet and looks great. It's in storage for a while, the room is not ready as the house is under renovation but will be perfect and I think will be much-loved. Bringing a house and furniture to life is a rewarding combination.
