A 1980s tall HiFi cabinet with three internal shelves which are adjustable on brass shelf support rings. The front opens on two hinges, a top and lower door with faux drawer fronts. A great piece for storing vinyl records etc. It could also be repurposed to serve as a drinks cabinet with a useful hinged top providing a drinks preparation surface. 
The original dark Mahogany finish was scuffed and dated. I chose two shades of green for the exterior, Fusion Mineral Paint in Everett Green and Dixie Belle Cactus Green. For the interior, I chose Conch pink by Dixie Belle, a pale nude pink. 
To begin the makeover, I cleaned the piece with sugar soap and warm soapy water. I rinsed with clean water and then scuffed the surface to provide a key for the paint. I used Dixie Belle Slick Stick, an adhesion primer followed by three coats of paint on the exterior and interior surfaces. On the doors, I applied a harlequin diamond design by stencil in the lighter shade of green, Cactus.
