This beautiful 1960's bureau has been brought up to date with a custom blend of a cobalt blue hard wearing paint with gold and copper accents along with the updated stencilled veneer bar front.
It's now ready for a new home and a new life as a statement piece cocktail cabinet which would grace any home beautifully.
The cobalt blue is striking and blends beautifully  against the copper art deco stencil look which is on both the fully wipeproof bar shelves and the mirror effect backdrop on the glass display shelves, all ready to have your bottles and cocktail glasses shown off. The shelves on the bar area have the addition of striking patterned paper which is in keeping with the overall style of this beautiful piece and has also been coated to withstand washing, as are the drawer lining and shelf in cupboard below . The drawers have stencil detail on the sides for extra interest. This piece has been protected with wax and varnish where appropriate.
It has 3 glass shelves each side, 1 drawer and useful storage cupboard in the middle for additional bottles along with the top bar preparation area aswell as useful cubby compartments inside the bar serve area.
There are 2 keys that have gold tassels that do fit the doors, etc. Due to this being a vintage piece, the locks do work but the doors need pushing firmly in when locking. Doors do keep shut without using lock if preferred.
This cabinet is antique and so may show some signs of wear and tear but we feel this only adds to the character.

All is well with the cabinet and looks great. It's in storage for a while, the room is not ready as the house is under renovation but will be perfect and I think will be much-loved. Bringing a house and furniture to life is a rewarding combination.
