This damaged and stained drinks cabinet was once upon a time a much loved piece gifted to its previous owner in the 1950s. Determined for it to continue its story and be loved once again, it has been refreshed and given a new lease of life.
After much cleaning and sanding I opted for a bold exterior, using Ash by Fusion Mineral Paint. A bold but soft dark grey. There’s nowhere for this beauty to hide 😊
I paired this mid century cabinet with the completely stunning and stand out Lynx paper by designer Emma Shipley. The interior greets you with a beautiful pop of Damask pink to complement the design and add interest against the Ash.
With legs and hardware completed in this glorious liquid gold paint, I hope you’ll agree this piece is ready for her close up and new home.
Whether displaying wine or glassware, gins or books, porcelains or even footwear and fashion accessories, this piece can now be appreciated once more for years to come.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
