This is a hand painted writing desk/bureau. It has been transformed to take pride of place in your home. Changing your living space into an area where you can happily work from home, giving you a smile as you work away! She is extremely functional in today's climate.
Inspired by the most beautiful floral transfer, I choose to paint in a soft pink with touches of orange and peach. It reminds me of strawberry milkshake! It is beautifully painted and decorated with great care taken to keep the character that it possesses. The top is left wood..the oak has such beautiful tones and it has been enriched with deep wax.
The inside has been painted with gold to give it a bit of glam...little touches have been added and will pop out to surprise you. The little drawer in the top has been lined with ancient paper, i’ve had for about 30 years! And has had a gold script stencilled on the front. The knob has been gilded with different coloured wax’s.
The front pull down rests on two pieces of wood that come out when you lower the top. This is decorated with gold script wring. The writing desk has been painted, she has had a transfer applied and has been top coated for protection. She has the original key..
Each drawer has had the sides painted in gold and lined in the same old paper as the top little drawer..they pull out with the most gorgeous original knobs. They are in original condition and are beautiful. They are very useful being quite deep.
The sides of the bureau are both different and have gold strips and parts of the floral transfer. Blending the whole look together as one. The feet are cute..painted in gold.
I will do my very best to match the same desk but if not i will work closely with you to find the perfect piece.

Bench has arrived and it’s perfect. I hope to strip off the varnish and expose the natural wood and a clear sealing wax to keep it tip top. The delivery guys were very good and placed the bench in situ. So 5 stars to them. Timing was spot on to!!!
Just to let you know the sewing table has arrived - it needs a bit of a loving touch but I’m delighted with it! The delivery was as smooth as could be - the man let me know his progress and was polite and helpful when he arrived. Thank you very much, keep doing the good work. Love my sewing table!
We have installed the Mahogany Chippendale Show Cabinet today! I have attached some photos of it in situ. We are planning to have a photoshoot in a few weeks where it will be dressed with glasses etc. I will be sure to send some more over then- it’s going to be a showstopper! It is a very beautiful piece and we are really happy with the purchase.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. "I am very pleased with the look and quality of the sideboard and enclose a photo of it in-situ in our hallway. It fits perfectly. Thank you for the extreme thoroughness of the packing (it must have taken ages, as it took me a long time to unpack) and it arrived intact. Just one little blip, the tape caught a tiny bit of paint on the bottom edge which came away, but I have been able to touch this in, so no problem with the overall look.
I also added some sensor lights inside to help identify the contents as the interior was dark. They work a treat".
