At some point, the wardrobe was carefully cut vertically—likely to facilitate moving it upstairs—and has since been rejoined with discreet brackets. These can be removed again if needed. Additionally, the piece separates into three horizontal sections, making transport and placement easier.

Despite a few age-related quirks, this is a solid, attractive piece of furniture that provides excellent storage and adds a warm, vintage presence to any room.
