A versatile side table perfect for use in the bedroom, living room or hallway as a practical accent piece with soft vintage charm.
The side table started out life as a sewing table and has been fully refurbished to give a new stylish lease of life with the addition of wooden rib detail to the front, stencil detailing and decoupage to the interior. All brass fixings have been restored and polished.
The exterior has been finished with a neutral warm taupe chalk paint (Country Grey), then waxed to protect and provide its charming vintage look. The unassuming elegance is enhanced by the warmth of the grain in the hinged wooden top, which opens to reveal a convenient storage area in addition to the smaller drawer below.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
