An elegant yet practical vintage bureau professionally refinished in a mix of wood, painted and decoupaged finishes.
The main carcass and cabriole legs have been painted in Farrow and Ball’s Inchyra Blue, a beautiful blue grey with some green undertones. It’s a perfect colour to complement the sides and inside of the bureau that have been decoupaged in Graham and Brown’s Timepiece wallpaper in Midnight. This strong and fibrous paper has a mix of florals and geometric diamonds with white, yellow and blue tones creating a sophisticated and eye-catching design. To add contrast the leather writing pad, original handles and visible edges have been painted in a pale gold with a subtle shimmer. The beautiful striped veneer drawer fronts and lid have been stripped and refinished in a hard wax oil with a satin finish to bring out the gorgeous grain.
I have a number of bureaus in stock and also have some more of this wallpaper so I could create something similar or we can work together to agree a new design bespoke to you.

This is the second time we've bought off Upcite and will always return. This time around, we bought a Victorian Mahogany Chest Of Drawers (£429 including P&P) from Timeless Furniture LTD UK. We contacted Timeless Furniture (Wrexham) through the messages section and they (Dave) were super helpful in confirming P&P will be covered their end but also went out of their way to coat the chest of drawers with another round of woodworm treatment, which was much appreciated. The drawers had been treated before but Dave offered to do it again to allay our concerns. So, once they confirmed this we punched it. The drawers then arrived via courier about a week later and packed very well, arriving in one piece and no damage. Highly recommend Upcite and Timeless Furniture LTD UK. Pete
